Studioforma (Architecture, Interior Design)
Set on the hillside of Richterswil, this modern villa on Lake Zurich combines contemporary architecture with a close relationship to the surrounding landscape. Generous spaces, natural light and wide views define the residence, creating an atmosphere that feels open, calm and effortless.
Expansive glazing opens the house towards its surroundings, allowing indoor and outdoor living spaces to merge seamlessly. From almost every area, the view is directed towards Lake Zurich, whose presence accompanies everyday life and makes the landscape an integral part of living.
Warm timber surfaces, finely coordinated materials and precise proportions give the architecture a timeless elegance. The cantilevered volumes appear to float above the hillside, creating sheltered terraces and enhancing the lightness of the design.
Inside, the staircase forms the connecting element between the different levels. Dark timber, precise detailing and carefully coordinated lighting give it a calm presence. It structures the space with understated confidence and reinforces the clear approach of the interior architecture.
The result is a residential project that achieves its effect not through staging, but through the natural way in which it brings architecture, light and nature together into a harmonious whole.
