Alex Leuzinger, a distinguished architect of Swiss-Italian heritage, has firmly established himself in the international architecture and design arena. Today, Leuzinger leads Studioforma alongside his partners and a talented team, poised to navigate the complexities of the modern world while creatively tackling the diverse challenges of architecture. Through their exceptional projects, they set benchmarks in the industry, demonstrating that architectural design transcends mere aesthetics—it’s an art form that shapes living spaces and evokes emotions.
After completing his architecture studies at the prestigious Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, he founded Studioforma, a design and architecture firm based in Zurich, at the age of 30. This internationally active office is synonymous with innovative, bespoke design solutions.
Leuzinger’s passion for contemporary art and illustration is reflected in his admiration for renowned artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, CJ Hendry, and Takashi Murakami. Beyond his creative pursuits, Leuzinger actively engages with several esteemed clubs, including the Lions Club Zurich, the Real Estate Club Switzerland, the Zunft zum Stauffacher, and FIABCI Suisse. These memberships highlight his commitment to excellence and his extensive network within the industry.
With a vision that transcends conventional boundaries, Leuzinger continues to serve as a pioneer of contemporary architecture, actively shaping the future of design. His work not only inspires but also redefines the parameters of architectural excellence in a rapidly evolving world.
harriet darko-boamah • partner
Harriet Darko-Boamah, born in Ghana and fluent in several languages, has established herself as a leading force in the field of corporate communications. As a partner at Studioforma, she plays a significant role in shaping the company’s brand strategy, drawing on her exceptional skills in communication, problem-solving, and organisation. Her interpersonal expertise makes her an indispensable leader.
Darko-Boamah’s journey at Studioforma began in 2013 as an Executive Assistant, where she also managed the back office, showcasing her impressive organisational abilities. Following a business apprenticeship and a BSc in Business Communications from the Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences, she took on the role of Head of Communications in 2018. In this key role, she is responsible for corporate communications and marketing, strengthening both the internal and external relationships of the company.
Her passion for photography, art, and exploring new cultures informs her creative vision and flows directly into her work. Living by the motto “Whatever you do not know, you can learn,” Darko-Boamah embodies continuous growth and innovation—qualities that make her a true visionary in the world of design and communications.
david marty • partner
David Marty, of German origin, is a successful architect whose career has been defined by precision and innovation. As a partner at the renowned architectural and design firm Studioforma, Marty significantly contributes to the company’s success with his technical expertise and problem-solving strategies. His exceptional time management skills and ability to oversee complex construction projects have firmly established him as a leader in the field.
Marty’s solid educational background began with an apprenticeship as a draftsman specialising in architecture, followed by a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU). This foundation allowed him to swiftly gain a foothold in the architecture industry. In 2017, he joined Studioforma as a Project Coordinator, where he immediately demonstrated his talent for project management and construction site organisation. His precise working style and technical proficiency enabled him to take over the position of Project Manager in 2020. By 2022, Marty advanced to Senior Project Manager.
Marty’s passion for architecture and art shapes his professional approach, while his years playing American football for the Renegades and Helvetic Guards have reinforced his teamwork and discipline. Today, he shares his knowledge as an ÜK course instructor for architectural draftsmen, fostering the next generation of talent
